Shall we set a date for Grease?

I am ready to set up our field trip to Grease. When are the dates, exactly? Thank you, Halie, for the tip about the carnival. We'll want to do that, too, don't you think?  We should also purchase a block of tickets, so that we can sit together. Let me know your preferences.

Should we picnic in the park for dinner ahead of time, or do you want to meet at a restaurant?

Ok sounds good any date would work for me. But how muck would it be?

I checked today on SCT's website and it says that tickets are $13.00each.

Yeah, but can't the performers request a certain amount of free tickets?

Haha Max. I think we should have a picnic in the park, that sounds nice. All dates work for me:).

Haha yea max... but im not quite sure that we could get that many comp. tickets.

Hey Mrs. Mammen i was just wondering what time you had in mind for dinner because call is usually an hour before show so i would have to be there at like 6 so i might not be able to go.

I think it might probably be easier to go to dinner afterward like "The Diary of Anne Frank".

That sounds like a good idea, too. That way we can all eat together :)

Yes, food would be better after performance.

Halie said...

Yea I think that sounds like a great idea!

oh I think we should do it afterwards too so Halie can come! By the way, I got my haircut!

If we eat afterwards, dinner at a food establishment (restaurant) would probably be best because it would be dark and buggy and windy. Any date is still OK :)

Remember how we ate after The Diary of Anne Frank because we had no choice, and how we were STARVING?

How about if we figure out a way to do both--a light picnic in the park beforehand, even if Halie and Max can only come for a little while, AND go to Burger King or somesuch place afterwards? I think we want to check out the carnival that Halie mentioned--I assume it is before the show? Maybe it will be after the show...Halie what can you tell us about that?

I do recall how my stomach was grumbling throughout the entire Anne Frank play. Soooo, I think we should have a light snack before and then supper or something of the sort afterwards. What exactly is in the carnival? Also, the for sure date we are going to see Grease?

That sounds like a good idea Mrs.Mammen and I'm pretty sure the carnival is before the show but I'm not for sure I think I'll find out more details about it when we start rehearsals.

Halie, what is in the carnival??? (Just wondering :)).

Halie said...

Um...to be honest I'm not exactly for sure they just said there will be a carnival...um I'll ask Robbie when I see him next wednesday at voice lessons and I'll tell you!

Oops- my husband's family reunion is the weekend of Aug. 1-2, so I will not be able to attend Grease that weekend, which is when the carnival is happening, I believe. Do you guys want me to organize the event for that weekend, and you all can do it without me (you all ARE going on to high school soon, so you should be able to function...), or do you want to pick a different date so that I can be there, too?

I checked with my mom and she said that we would be in Colorado during Aug. 1 & 2 :(. Sorry, I guess it is a late summer vacation. Soooo, I would have to go the 8th or 9th. Is that OK with everyone, does it work for your schedules???
