Oh well that's OK Max. But today is my first day with my aunt. I get to come see her every summer for a week. So, I'll be here for a week :). Not doing too much (really nothing at all). Sorry to burst your bubble. I hadn't read any books lately so I didn't have anything to add to that last blog.
Well I've been busy with grease as well, 5 nights a week and also today working on the set...It's been fun mostly the part of being with old friends. Other than that I haven't really had time for anything else. Oh and I just started panicing because i just realized that school starts in about 3 and 1/2 weeks and I need to read...ALOT! well thats all for now! TaTa!
I'm a little nervous about going back to school, as well. I've taken 9 college classes/workshops this summer, and I'm feeling overwhelmed about the homework. All of the assignments are podcast-this and webpage-that, and my brain is scrambled. I play hooky from my responsibilities whenever I can by reading, however. I've plowed through quite a pile of books. There are so many more I want to devour before I go back to work, though!
Oh i thought I'd mention that they decided not to do the carnival for Grease. Instead they're doing a carshow on August 1. I didnt think many of you would be intrested in that so it might make your decision easier on which date to go.
Well while you guys are stressing I am on vacation! Right now I am in New Mexico. I'm seeing my Dad and Grandparents. We have plans to go to San Antonio next week and shop around and go to Sea World. It should be fun,bti have to admit they spoil me pretty bad...but thats ok with me. I'll be back in Kansas on August 1st. I will soon be getting "They Cage the Animal At Night". But thats about it.
I think the best date for Grease would be Aug. 8. Does that work for everyone? It's a Friday, I do believe. Let everyone know so that we can official set our date :D.
P.S. Oh yeah, I'm having fun with my aunt and uncle. We played tennis a couple of times, my aunt and I went shopping yesterday and today, and I've been working at her Hallmark store in Harrisonville, MO. I guess they spoil me rotten, too! But I just got done picking out some ornaments for my collection.
Noah and Beatrice (brother and sister) have gone to my grandparents' house for the week. I can't go, because of Grease, but at least I get the house to myself.
Yesterday, my aunt and I went to the National WWI Museum in Kansas City, the only one in the US. Then, we went to the Federal Reserve Bank across the street. They had every single coin made in the US since 1787. Yeah, I know! The valt held $138 billion dollars when full of 100 dollar bills. Did you know that they used to make $100,000 bills??? Well they stopped making them in 1967 or something like that because they were unpopular. But I saw $40 million yeserday!!! Have YOU ever seen $40 million??? But the room where they sorted the money (there was a machine that could detect conterfeit bills) was like that in the movie Mad Money with Queen Latifa. Pretty awesome. Oh yeah, and I got some FREE MONEY!!! (it was shreded because it was too dirty or worn). Then after that, we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, my favorite restaurant (I have expensive taste). Then we went to Kit Kitridge, An American Girl. I thought it was good. Then we came home and chilled while waiting for my cousins (who I've never met!) along with my uncles to come back from Iowa. I know, quite a day!!!
Tiionna, I have LOVED reading about your vacation! Thanks for setting a date fro Grease--I think that Friday, August 8 is perfect. I'm going to create a new post advertising that date.
Halie--can you float me a price for the best tickets?
Gave--how fantabulous that you are blogging from New Mexico!
max--I am so happy that I finally got to see you on the sidewalk in front of my house. Congrats on the peaceful house, too.
